Red & White

Over many e-mails, Lauren, Amy and myself planned our trip to Paw Paw Lake this August. Of course, we quickly started talking about what drinks and food we would indulge in over the weekend. Amy suggested red sangria and I couldn't have been more willing to jump at the chance to try her recipe and to cross goal #34 off the list. Lauren added that she wanted to try to re-create the delicious white sangria she had at Mani Osteria a few weeks before. Our final decision: Why choose? Let's make both!

As soon as we arrived at Amy's lake house, we started making the sangria.

All of Amy's Sangria fixings.

Basil and peaches in the pitcher. Now, it's time for the Limoncello.

We let the sangria and all the delicious fruit soak overnight. The next day we added the bubbles. Ginger ale for Amy's and club soda for Lauren's. They both turned out perfectly! We drank the red sangria by the lake and enjoyed the white sangria after dinner.

Thank you Amy and Lauren for sharing your sangria recipes over our girls weekend. You're the best.
